Tornado Preparedness

website_tornado.png

Tornadoes can strike with little or no warning, so it’s crucial to be prepared. Ensure you have a plan in place for your family and workplace. Identify safe shelter locations, such as basements or small interior rooms on the lowest floor, away from windows. Keep an emergency kit ready with essentials like water, non-perishable food, a first aid kit, flashlights, batteries, and a NOAA weather radio. Stay informed about weather conditions through local news, weather apps, or a NOAA weather radio. Practice your tornado safety plan regularly and make sure everyone knows what to do when a tornado warning is issued. Remember, taking these steps can help protect you and your loved ones during a tornado.
